This could be a game changer for many of our listeners: Lanark County is reminding low-income earners who need to do some home repairs or renovations that forgivable loans of up to $10,000 are available.
To qualify your household must make less than $70,000 per year and have assets under $200,000.
The house must be your only residence and be worth less than $388,422 and you have to have proof your taxes, mortgage and insurance are all current.
There are also grants of up to $5,000 to improve accessibility available too.
They say its a first come first served basis for those who qualify, subject to availability of funds.
