Citing safety concerns, all schools in the Upper Canada District School Board and Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario are closed in our listening area due to CUPE’s labour action.
The union says it could last past today.
The Boards have both moved to a remote learning model.
The provincial government and CUPE have not yet reached a deal and CUPE has confirmed that they will be on strike tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 4. As such, UCDSB schools will be closed to students on Friday, Nov. 4.

CUPE has announced that their members will proceed with a full withdrawal of services on Fri., Nov.4, as negotiations have ended with no agreement.
