Shelter Movers is now operating in Lanark County. The organization sees volunteers help women who are victims of domestic violence get settled in a home.
Wendy Mitchell, the chapter director in Ottawa says they take the financial stressor off the table.
Locally, Shelter Movers has partnered with Lanark County Interval House. They will refer the people who need the service to the group.
Mitchell says they’ve already been quite busy.
