It is week two of this year’s Build a Mountain of Food campaign. We’re making stops in Perth and Lanark Highlands tomorrow.
Eileen Powell with the Perth Good Food Bank tells us with times being like they are, people are making some tough choices.
Rev. Bruce North from the Lanark Highlands Food Banks says people are turning to food banks in his community and across the country, more than ever.
In Perth volunteers will be taking your donations of non-perishable food and cash from 9 until 4 at Barnabe’s Independent, Metro, Foodsmiths and Giant Tiger.
They’ll be at the Lanark Highlands Food Pantry from 9 until noon collecting donations of food and cash, which allows them to target specific needs week-to-week.
Next week we’re in Smiths Falls.
