Carleton Place approves name change for Memorial Park

Carleton Place Town Council has approved a name chance for Memorial Park just in time for today’s Remembrance Day services.

Ron Goebel of the Royal Canadian Legion was joined by other members to officially request the name change to help entrench it as place of remembrance and honour to those who served and are serving.

Council unanimously approved that new name – Veteran’s Memorial Park.
