The Rotary Club of Carleton Place and Mississippi Mills has fulfilled a promise with a cheque of $5,000 made out to Lanark County Interval House.
Five years ago, the organization pledged $25,000 to Interval House’s second stage housing. They have now paid their final instalment.
Second stage housing provides a transitional space for women and children fleeing Intimate Partner Violence. For many its the final stop before they resume and restart their lives.
Interval House Executive Director Erin Lee thanked the Rotary Club, telling those in attendance, “You are contributing to making a difference in the lives of women and children.”
