Planet Youth Lanark County hosting Community Action Meeting Thurdsay

Planet Youth Lanark County is holding a community action meeting this Thursday in Carleton Place, and you’re invited.

The group is working to bring the Icelandic model of reducing substance abuse among youth.
Planet Youth’s David Sommpi tells us they’ll be sharing some stark results from a survey of local Grant 10 students.

He says its a wake-up call.

Iceland’s ambassador along with local medical officer of health Dr Linna Li will speak at the session, designed to help plan community actions to stem this deadly tide.

It takes place at 7 o’clock at the Zion United Memorial Church in Carleton Place.
