The group of residents in Drummond/North Elmsley who are opposed to a proposed Gun Range says 27 signs out of 32 that they posted against the project have been removed.
The county didn’t do it, and gave them permission to put the signs up.
The group says they’ll put more of the signs, which cost about $15 each up.
The township will be debating a bylaw that would rezone the land hosting the former OPP gun range to allow a private range to operate.
Both sides have their arguments.
Those against are concerned about noise and impact to the environment, while the range owner says it would increase gun safety in the area and provide a safe area for teaching proper firearm use, among other things.
