Shuffling in with the new council will eventually be a new treasurer and director of community services in Smiths Falls.
CAO Malcom Morris announced during Monday’s brisk Committee of the Whole meeting that Janet Koziel and Art Manhire are retiring at years end.
Morris says they’re working on interim measures for what’s a busy time for treasury staff.
Councilor Jay Brennan thanked both Koziel and Manhire for their dedication to the town, and said they were a pleasure to work with.
Koziel’s been with the town for nearly 19 1/2 years, while Manhire has been with Smiths Falls for eight.
