The Kemptville District Hospital has won three Green Health Care Awards as top performer in the categories of Leadership, Pollution Prevention, and Waste.
“We are truly honoured to receive these awards and to be acknowledged among our peers for success in making our hospital more environmentally friendly,” said Frank J. Vassallo, KDH’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are very proud to be recognized as a Canadian leader in driving health care’s greening agenda.”
The awards are presented by the Canadian Coalition for Green Health Care, in recognition of the facility’s commitment to environmental stewardship and greening its internal health care practices.
The hospital was also awarded an Honourable Mention in the Water Category.
