The reopening of the Obstetrical Unit at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is slated for the new year.
The birthing unit was closed in mid-September due to a “staffing situation,” the hospital said in a media release.
January 8th 2023 is the slated re-opening date.
The hospital says they remain committed to providing safe and high quality patient care and thank everyone for their patience and understanding during the temporary closure.
In the meantime, anyone requiring immediate help can continue to call 9-1-1 and paramedics will take you to the nearest emergency department for care.
