Mississippi Mills is teaming up with Home Hospice North Lanark as part of their annual tree fundraiser by launching an official Bicentennial tree to celebrate 200 years of the municipality.
The “Autumn Blaze Maple” is a hybrid of the red maple and the silver maple, both native to North America. A limited number are available for purchase through Home Hospice’s website. You can visit it by tapping or clicking this text block.
Mississippi Mills Mayor Christa Lowry said having an official bicentennial tree adds to the growing list of ways to celebrate the community’s milestone.
The bareroot trees will be available for pick up at Reid’s Garden Centre in April 2023.
