Supporters of a leash-free dog park in Perth may have to wait until after August of next year, and come up with some cash before a the park becomes a reality in the town.
The group behind it wanted $150,000 from reserves and more than 5 acres of parkland from the town to make it happen.
General consensus around the Council Table was to limit spending to $60,000 on a park that’s less than two acres big, and that the group should raise half the cost before receiving further consideration.
The matter was deferred until next summer giving staff time to come up with an appropriate location and possible details on fencing and other potential amenities.
