A local storage unit proposal got some bad news from Perth’s Committee of the Whole this week. Their proposal was denied.
Perth’s previous council had tried to find a way around requiring Donaldson’s Storage from having to install municipal water and sewer services for its proposed new self-storage facility.
Staff reviewed Beckwith township’s solution to a similar situation, but Beckwith is on a well and septic system, whereas Perth has town services.
Council decided that until those municipal services are connected to the site, they can’t issue the permit to go ahead.
