At Carleton Place council’s final meeting of the year on Tuesday, approval was given for a major boost in residential density.
Lepine Construction’s proposal was to build three 4-storey apartment buildings on Coleman Street across from similar units near McNeely.
It required an official plan amendment to approve a tripling of the allowed density. Councillor Linda Seccaspina supported the motion commenting:
Council approved the proposal and OP amendment.
