Fun on the horizon: Carleton Place looking at Recreation and Culture to be a focus

Carleton Place Mayor Toby Randell says over the past decade, the town has gotten away from festivals and other entertainment that you see in other Lanark County Communities.

As a result he says council would like to make Recreation and Culture a focus during this term of office.

He says the timing is perfect.

The Mayor says they hope to have big event that could draw outsiders to the town too.

Exactly what shape that takes remains to be seen. But Mayor Randell says they’ll be sure to include the public in the process of determining what fun can be had in the town.
