The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital is once again letting us know that they’re dealing with capacity issues at both sites of their hospital, thanks to a high volume of patients being admitted to the facilities and making use of the Emergency Departments.
There are 13 patients between the two Emergency Departments waiting for an in-patient bed as a result.
That means that if you go to the ER, expect to wait longer than usual. They’re taking the sickest patients first, as is always the case.
They also note that anyone in need of immediate medical help is asked to call 911 and paramedics will assist and bring you to the nearest hospital for care.
If its not-urgent call your family doctor or nurse practitioner. You can also call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0007.
Again, they thank all hospital users for their understanding.
