Just a reminder that the Festive R.I.D.E. program continues in our listening area.
The OPP and Smiths Falls police take part in the annual campaign, in addition to RIDE programs throughout the year, in an effort to keep our roadways safe from alcohol and drug impaired drivers.
Officers can be seen wearing their highly visible yellow jackets and cruisers with their emergency lighting activated.
Please slow down and use caution when approaching these checkpoints and always have a plan to have a designated driver or another way home if you plan on drinking or using cannabis.
