The Township of Rideau Lakes will hold a byelection to fill the seat around their council table by the sudden death of Councillor Cathy Livingston.
Mayor Arie Hoogenboom says they decided that the vote would be the best way to go after considering all options.
The byelection will cover Ward 1, the former Bastard and South Burgess township.
Hoogenboom says the decision is made, but details have to be worked out.
