A lawyer for the former president of the Ontario Public Service Employees’ Union says allegations by the union in a lawsuit are “bogus.”
The union alleges Warren “Smokey” Thomas is one of two former executives who paid themselves money they weren’t entitled to and used union money for non-business purposes.
It also alleges they transferred union vehicles to themselves and family members, and paid out strike fund cash to themselves and a third former executive.
The allegations have not been tested in court.
