Smiths Falls’ Brooke Henderson teed off the 2023 LPGA season today in Orlando by shooting a five under 67.
That was good enough to lead the first round of the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions outright.
Her round featured six birdies and a bogey.
She did it all with new clubs too. The 12-time winner announced yesterday she’s made the switch to TaylorMade clubs, saying in a press release her new set has added distance to her drives, and better control throughout her irons and wedges.
Round two goes tomorrow.
