Former Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP Randy Hillier’s charged dating back to May 2021 has been dropped, The Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms announced Tuesday.
Hillier was charged under the Reopening Ontario Act for breaching a COVID-19 order by allegedly attending a protest in Barrie opposing the stay-at-home mandate which banned public gatherings.
The former MPP still has 9 pending charges surrounding last year’s Freedom Convoy protests.
