Westport Mayor Robin Jones re-elected as Chair of ROMA

Village of Westport mayor Robin Jones has been re-elected as Chair of the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (or ROMA.)

ROMA represents 425 municipalities, including those within our listening area, and advocates on their behalf to the provincial government.

At the recent ROMA Conference in Toronto, Jones was -re-elected for another two year term alongside the new Board of Directors.

Jones said she looks forward to working with the new board and there’s a lot to do in the new term.

Mississippi Mills Mayor Christa Lowry was previously named the new Zone 8 representative on the board of directors. She was acclaimed after former Ottawa Councillor Eli El-Chantiry retired.
