A pilot project in Carleton Place means you’ll be able to lace them up all summer and hit the ice during the typical offseason for the Neelin Street Arena.
During a special meeting of council on Monday, the project got the green light to offer indoor ice-skating for July and August.
Councillor Mark Hinton thought this was long overdue.
After the pilot project wraps up, a cost analysis report will be presented to council in the fall to determine its success and viability moving forward.
