The number of COVID-19-related fatalities in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville has hit 149 as another was added to the toll in this week’s surveillance report. That noted, the other numbers remain flat or are trending downward.
That has Dr. Linna Li, our medical officer of health, cautiously optimistic.
Li says there were just 50 high-risk cases reported in the most recent surveillance report.
There is just one person in hospital in the jurisdiction covered by the Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit. There are none in our ICUs.
The number of outbreaks is unchanged at three. They account for just seven cases across the region and are all found in congregate care facilities. Those are the lowest outbreak numbers reported in months.
