Environment Canada has issued a freezing rain and fog advisory throughout our listening area.
Freezing rain, with ice accretion of 2 to 5 millimetres is expected to begin this afternoon and ending tonight.
Precipitation may begin as snow or ice pellets this afternoon before transitioning to freezing rain.
A prolonged period of freezing rain is expected for the Ottawa River Valley.
Freezing rain is expected to change over to rain tonight.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
Update: The fog advisory has ended as of 9am Thursday.
