It goes without saying that outside of a few recent and brief deep freezes, this winter so far has been two things: very cloudy and not all that cold.
Senior Climatologist David Phillips says he’s been keeping tabs on what we’ve seen so far and it all but confirms what we’ve known.
Phillips says the weather is largely determined on where the winds are blowing from.
This winter, it’s been mostly from the south and the pacific giving us balmy temperatures, and said attributing the trend to climate change is a cop out.
Phillips doesn’t rule out cooler weather in the months ahead as weather trends can and do change.
