Redevelopment is not in the short-term cards for the Lanark Lodge.
Director Carey Duncan told Lake 88 they aren’t feeling the pressure to do so as the Lodge is a Class B home, meaning they don’t have any ward bedrooms like homes under C and D classification that may be feeling more of a pinch.
But it’s always on their minds.
The conversation’s come up a handful of times at the Lanark County level, with Community Services chair Judy Brown saying there’s no urgent need to do so.
Duncan says they’re always looking at care models to focus on. Be it emotionally-based care, campus care, or partnerships with other organizations.
