Questions about Premier Doug Ford’s relationship with developers and the expansion of private health-care delivery will likely dominate discourse at the Ontario legislature today.
Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston MPP John Jordan and Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands MPP Steve Clark return to Queens Park as the house is to resume after a winter break, and the first new piece of legislation is expected to contain promised health reforms.
The expected legislation would include allowing community clinics and diagnostic centres to perform more procedures and tests and letting health-care professionals from other provinces work in Ontario without registering right away.
If passed, the legislation will also give nurses and paramedics more responsibilities.
Lake 88 recently spoke to Clark about healthcare reform.
