Smiths Falls Police have charged a woman in relation to intimate partner violence.
Police say on the evening of February 19th they received a 9-1-1 call to a Lanark Street residence.
They soon learned the 25-year-old suspect allegedly assaulted her common law partner with a weapon during an argument.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
Police placed the suspect under arrest after a short struggle.
She’s facing two counts of assault with a weapon and resisting arrest.
