Police in Kingston are asking the public to be aware of a fraudulent social media account, which is impersonating one of their officers.
An Instagram account closely resembling Sergeant Steve Koopman has surfaced and individuals report having received messages from the account regarding an outstanding traffic ticket that has not been paid and that legal action would be taken of the ticket is not paid.
Police remind the public that you will never be contacted by Police in this manner, nor would payment be requested to them directly.
