Perthmore residents were on hand at Perth council this week as the existing pathway was once again up for discussion.
Howard Connell lives alongside the utility easement and expressed frustration on behalf of several homeowners that they cannot have complete privacy because the pathway is close to their homes, at times having others trespass on their properties due to its proximity.
After debate and consultation with town staff, who told council it would be impossible to make the pathway truly accessible due to utility equipment, the committee voted to permanently close to the path.
They also are asking staff to post no trespassing signs and install fencing.
The decision is expected to be ratified next week.
