Thieves have begun using Apple AirTags to track people and their locations and the OPP are warning citizens about it.
AirTags are small wireless trackers many people use for practical reasons like placing them inside their luggage to keep tabs on it through their phone during travels.
But police have shared a cautionary tale where one woman found an AirTag placed in the fuse box under the hood of her car. She learned there was a tag somewhere in her vehicle when she received a notification on her own phone that one was trying to connect.
The OPP say be on the lookout for these small tags, and you can even use it to your own advantage. Placing an AirTag on your own vehicle to help track it in the event that its stolen.
