The Town of Carleton Place will not be the next Kraft Hockeyville.
The finalists were announced during Saturday’s Hockey Night in Canada broadcast, and they were not among the four listed.
The town launched a campaign last month encouraging residents to vote for Carleton Place to be considered as the next Kraft Hockeyville champion.
The grand prize for the town crowned is $250,000 for arena upgrades, new hockey equipment, and an opportunity to host an NHL pre-season game.
Communities in Quebec, B.C. and Manitoba were named finalists, as well as West Lorne, Ontario.
431 entries for Carleton Place were submitted.
