Carleton Place declares intimate partner violence an epidemic

Carleton Place became one of the ever expanding Ontario communities to declare intimate partner violence an epidemic earlier this month.

It’s the first of over 80 recommendations which stemmed from the Renfrew Inquest which followed a triple femicide in 2015, which we continue to highlight.

Lanark County became the first rural community to make the declaration late last year.
