Carleton Place water and wastewater treatment plant enters design phase

A major infrastructure project in Carleton Place cleared a major hurdle at this week’s council meeting.

The expansion of the town’s water and wastewater treatment plants are entering the design phase. Stantec was awarded the contract, and the significance of the move was not lost on Public works director Guy Bourgon.

The funds approved will be taken from development fees.
