A major milestone was reached by Carleton Place town council last week, and that was simply meeting in-person at town hall for the first time after three years of virtual sessions.
An indigenous delegation performed a traditional tobacco ceremony and songs to kick things off after a pandemic-induced absence forced council and the world to adjust accordingly.
Another decision made last week was to extend the public office hours of town-hall Monday through Thursday and close it on Fridays at noon.
