Lanark County OPP have charged two men after a robbery and carjacking.
Sunday morning at about 1am, officers responded to Bridge Street in Carleton Place to investigate.
It didn’t take long for patrolling officer to find the car. The two suspects fled, but were caught and arrested without incident thanks in part to the canine unit.
28 year-old Jabari Merchant and 29 year-old Corey Mitchell each face charges including robbery with violence. Mitchell also faces drug charges.
Both were held in custody.
