The Town of Perth received a $400,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation grant for a new roof at the indoor pool.
The work on the roof was completed in early March, and the funding was announced at the end of the month to help cover costs incurred.
It was an extensive process to replace the roof on the nearly 50-year-old facility. It took the removal and replacement of the existing 16,000 ft2 roof from three different levels, and replacing the steel sliding on the walls.
The town says the pool sees about 50,000 people access it across any given year.
