The Smiths Falls Bears eliminated the Carleton Place Canadians in five games of their opening round CCHL playoff series on March 31st.
Head Coach and General Manager Pat Malloy felt his club moving on was never in doubt.
Riley Thompson and Sean James each had six points in the series, while goaltender Will McEvoy picked up two shutouts to go with a 1.81 GAA and 0.943 save percentage.
Malloy says McEvoy’s a steady force in the net.
The Bears are currently leading the Renfrew Wolves 2-0 in their semi-finals series, while it’s the Brockville Braves and Ottawa Junior Senators in the other matchup.
