Richard Chesebrough provided high praise for everyone involved in handling the ice storm during the thick of it.
The Smiths Falls Fire Chief says they were flooded with calls but every person answered their call to action.
The chief says they experienced two power outages and system crashes, and four communications towers throughout Lanark County went down.
When asked by Mayor Shawn Pankow if those problems raised any red flags, the fire chief was direct.
Despite the obstacles, Chesebrough said everyone rose above and beyond to handle each call and scenario accordingly.
