This past weekend of action in the CCHL playoffs saw the semifinals wrap up and the remaining two teams emerge to compete for the Bogart Cup.
The Smiths Falls Bears were the first team to punch their ticket to the big dance, and they did so with great authority.
An 8-0 rout of the Renfrew Wolves at home on Friday night sent them packing after five games, and had the Bears waiting to see who would come out on the other side of the second semifinal.
It was once again the Ottawa Junior Senators reaching the season finale for the fifth consecutive season.
They’ll be aiming to win their fourth straight Bogart Cup this year, after knocking out the Brockville Braves in five games with a 3-2 victory Saturday.
The schedule for the series will be announced early this week.
