Smiths Falls declares April 22nd as Earth Day

Mayor of Smiths Falls Shawn Pankow has once again proclaimed April 22nd as Earth Day in the Town of Smiths Falls.

The day honours the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect the environment for current and future generations, both on a global and local scale.

Among the events planned in the town to mark the day is a celebration at the Heritage House Museum on Saturday at 1pm, featuring the Lanark Drum Circle and Junkyard Symphony.
