The Town of Perth has some things to keep top of mind as you do your Spring lawn cleanups, as many are still dealing with the ice storms aftermath.
They note that grass clippings and waste should be left on the lawns as a natural soil amendment, and ask that you don’t bring it to the landfill. But leaf and small yard waste can be brought to the Landfill to be composted for free.
There’s no curbside leaf collection in the spring, but there is in the Fall. We’ll let you know when that takes place, but aren’t in a rush to get there.
Other brush and woody waste is accepted at the Perth Landfill for a fee. It’s open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:00am-4:30pm, and Saturdays from 8:00am-12:00pm.
