It’s now official: The Fire Ban has been lifted clear across Lanark County.
That means if you have a permit you’re allowed to burn on your property, which is something many have been clamouring to do since the ice storm dropped dozens of branches and trees on properties across the region.
Remember though, you have to check with your local municipality about what exactly you can burn and when. There are different rules in towns and townships and some require permits. So call your town or township hall before you think about sparking a controlled blaze.
