Festival of the Maples draws thousands, despite some soggy conditions

Experience Lanark’s sweetest export at the Annual Festival of the Maples, where a little rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of thousands of maple lovers who opened umbrellas to celebrate Lanark County’s sweetest export.

According to President Jamie Fortune of the Lanark County Maple Syrup Producers, the festival is cherished by producers and attendees alike.

He adds that the tradition is alive and well.

The day was filled with entertainment, delicious maple products, and the famous annual pancake breakfast at the legion.
