The Health Unit is speaking up about Emergency Preparedness Week.
Our Medical Officer of Health Dr. Linna Li tells us the Leeds Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit is heavily involved in emergency planning and response, and urges us all to be.
Like other officials we’ve spoken with from the county and first responders, she says it’s important that you have an emergency kit ready to go.
That includes medications you may need, and a list of those meds, on top of food and other supplies you could need for 72 hours.
