A ceremony on May 4th in Mississippi Mills was part of the town’s Bicentennial celebrations, but its roots in the past predate two hundred years of settler presence.

The seven marble pillars are adorned with ornate wooden carvings corresponding to each of the seven indigenous teachings, and the work has been sponsored by the Mississippi Mills All My Relations group.
