Central Bridge lights up in Carleton Place as a dry run for holidays, special events

If you caught a glimpse of the Central Bridge in Carleton Place last week and it looked particularly beautiful, there’s a reason for that.

Town staff was testing a new lighting system that illuminates the entire span of the recently opened bridge and the water underneath it.

Not only that, but the lights are programmable, meaning extra cheer is on the way for holidays and special events.
