There’s a special talk taking place at the arena this afternoon (May 24) in Smiths Falls.
It’s called “Town Hall: A restorative Justice Approach to Intimate Partner Violence, and is being hosted by Lanark County Community Justice and Lanark County Interval House.
Interval House Executive Director Erin Lee says our region is a leader when it comes to acting on the jury’s findings.
Community Justice Executive Director Joellen McHard says an idea from a while ago was recently bolstered.
Today’s free discussion will bring the community into the discussion to see what kinds of IPV cases could involve the restorative justice approach.
